Use a Shaman PvP Guide to Rule Player Versus Player Combat

April 16, 2009 · Filed Under Tech News · Comment

If you have been playing a Shaman in WoW, you know just how versatile your character is. That versatility translates into impressive abilities in PvP combat. Think of it: ripping up the enemy with Windfury while your totems make their life miserable and keep you safe from harm. If you’re skilled with this class, Shaman PvP combat is incredibly fun. But because a Shaman can do so many things, there’s a significant learning curve you need to navigate before becoming good at player versus player action.

The big issue with playing a Shaman is all those totems. When you count all the different elemental specs available to a Shaman, there are more than 30 different totems between them. There’s a wide variety of them, with sometimes subtle differences, such as that between the Grounding Totem which disrupts attacks while Earthshock interrupts them. Poison Cleanse which removes poisons as they are cast which is extremely useful against Rogues. Depending on which totem your Shaman uses, they can dispel attacks, disable Rogues, absorb the Warrior’s Intercept, and slow a Hunter. Think of any situation you might encounter in PvP combat, and there’s a totem that’s just right for it.

This means that succeeding as a Shaman in PvP depends on your skill with using your totems. Get this right and you’ll be a power to be reckined with. Get this wrong and you’ll spend most of your time waiting to be resurrected. One major issue is that creating totems takes time and mana. If you don’t know which to cast when, and how to keep them active in the most mana-efficient way, your Shaman will use up its mana or totem supply while the enemy is still standing. Then they’re a sitting duck.

This is why getting yourself a quality Shaman PvP Guide is so important. In a quality guide, you’ll learn which totems are most effective against which opposing classes. You’ll learn which totems to deploy against each class and when to deploy them to keep your Shaman healthy and effective against whatever danger comes your way. It will show you how to take on opponents from each classes in solo duels. And it will show you how your Shaman can best fit into a 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 team.

Since the best PvP Guide will include experience earned by veteran players in hundreds of hours of bloody combat, it will include tricks of the trade that won’t be obvious to newer players like you. It will include all the key information you need to know, and save you the time it would take to learn everything on your own. Why spend weeks at the bottom of the pile, with no clear strategy, unsure about which totem to use when, getting slaughtered by players who know exactly how to defeat you when you can eliminate most of your learning curve with a quality Shaman PvP Guide?

Learn what you need to know for your Shaman to dominate in any PvP combat and score above a 2200 honor rating in less than 6 weeks with the PvP Bible. Visit http://PvP-Bible.info to learn more about this great PvP Guide and order your copy today!

3 Often-Ignored Principles to WoW PvP Success

April 9, 2009 · Filed Under Tech News · Comment

WoW Player versus Player combat has to be one of the most intense and exciting parts of the World of Warcraft experience. Leading your allies into battle is fun, and once you start getting good at it, well it’s a complete blast. But when you are getting used to PvP combat combat] it is confusing and sometimes frustrating. And even if you’ve been competing for some time, it’s not hard to lose track of the basics. I know this from personal experience. Particularly once you’re having success, it’s easy to get caught up in the moment and forget the fundamentals that made you successful and popular with your teammates in the first place.

With that out of the way, let’s talk about 3 key tactics you need to apply whether you’re new to this whole player versus player thing, or are already kicking butt at a high level in WotLK.

First, you have to be able to heal yourself. Your job in the party may be to terminate the enemy, and you may have healers assigned to keep you and your brethren alive, but when it comes to the crunch, you need to be able to treat the worst of your wounds some potions and bandages for emergency treatment of yourself. Do you really want to die because the healer you were counting on was busy elsewhere on the battlefield, used up all his mana, or got called away by his mommy when you needed him most?

Second, learn how to create macros, make them for all your key actions, and use them. When your foes are all around you, and you’re life is on the line, getting off that spell or using that special ability fast is essential. With your special abilities and spells triggered by macros, you’ll have a leg up on all your competitors who aren’t as well-prepared as you are.

Third, remember that sometimes a strong defense is more important than a good offense. This is where getting caught up in the moment really causes issues. What good does it do to capture a base or take a flag, then lose it right away because nobody helped to defend it? The blood lust driving you to hunt down and slaughter one more foe can be strong, but there are times when the right thing you can do for your self and your side is to defend your gains instead of going on the attack.

Master these three fundamentals, and keep them in mind when you’re in combat, and you’ll be far more successful in player versus player combat. Still, basic information like this, and even your own incredible skill will only take you so far. To really rule in player versus player, you’re gonna need help.

To go as far as possible in PvP combat, you need to absorb and apply the experience and insights gained by the best PvP gamers after hundreds of hours of combat. You could try to find an in-game mentor who is willing to teach you (not very likely), or you can be smart and invest in a quality PvP Guide. The best PvP guides include much more than basic information like in this article. They are filled with specific, detailed information and guidance for each and every character class. That information comes from the cream of the crop among PvP gamers , people who have already done it all with their own characters. The top PvP guides gather and organize the information for you, along with providing updates whenever a new patch like WotLK comes out.

If you want to be the best at WoW PvP, you need to invest in the best guide. Go to http://PvP-Bible.info to learn more about that guide.

Rule Player Versus Player Using this Warrior PvP Guide

April 7, 2009 · Filed Under Tech News · Comment

Competing as a Warrior in World of Warcraft PvP combat might seem straightforward. Find the enemy, then hack him to pieces! But it isn’t really that simple at all. Keep reading to see what I mean.

As you would imagine, Warriors excel at dealing massive amounts of physical damage to anything they get close to. What catches people by surprise is that the best Warriors are not so much worried about taking physical damage as they are suffering spell damage. The reason for this is simple. Only Paladins and other Warriors can survive for more than a few seconds in hand to hand combat with a skilled Warrior. But a smart opponent with powerful magic or ranged attacks can make life difficult.

In PvP situations, a Warrior seldom gets into many close-in duels. You’re more likely to encounter spell casters and ranged fighters like Hunters than you are to duel other Warriors. This means strategy and tactics are necessary.

The greatest challenge for a Warrior is usually just getting into melee range and staying there. It’s possible to spend most of your time in the arena running after weaker but nimbler characters. This means you will need to understand and effectively use Warrior-specific skills such as Charge to start battles and Intercept to keep the enemy from dancing away once you do get closer. When in close combat range, you’ll need to use debilitating skills like Hamstring and Intimidating Shout to keep your quarry close, then load up on rage and tear the weaklings apart.

And while you’re thinking about all this, don’t forget that those damnable casters and ranged fighters will be plinking away at you with their annoying spells and puny arrows. For this reason, you must learn how to use your defensive stances and spell reflects, master the timing of Intercept and Hamstring, while always being to unload as much damage as possible when you get the chance. That’s a lot to figure out on your own. A quality Warrior PvP Guide will provide you all the information you need to do just that.

With the right Warrior PvP Guide, you’ll quickly learn how to defeat the other character classes in various situations, where brute strength and sheer combat power alone are not enough. It will teach everything you need to know to take on your opponents on your own terms and how to counteract ranged and casting fighters. And it will show you how to properly use your rage and crowd control abilities together to immobilize and deal death to your foes.

In addition, because the best PvP Guide will incorporate the hard-earned combat lore of veteran Warriors, it will contain strategies and tactics that you’re unlikely to discover on your own in any reasonable amount of time. It will teach you the key things the most successful Warriors need to know, without your having to expend vast amounts of time on trial and error learning.

Learn how your Warrior can come to dominate the battlefield and earn more than a 2200 honor rating in as little as 38 days with the PvP Bible. Types of PvP Combat

April 4, 2009 · Filed Under Tech News · Comment

You can get into PvP combat in various different settings. Knowing something about the different settings will help you find or avoid combat as you wish, and help you understand what others mean when they talk about battlegrounds or World PvP or whatever. Here’s your introduction to each setting:

Fighting Duels

Duels are one-on-one battles. You can duel pretty much anywhere you want, except within cities. You’ll often find players who are looking for a duel hanging around outside the entrances to major cities looking for someone to challenge.

Battlegrounds

The battlegrounds are areas where Horde and Alliance compete to earn marks. You can use marks sort of like money, and trade them in for various items, including better PvP gear. You can only use marks at the special PvP vendor shops.

The Arenas

Arena combat is an organized, ongoing tournament. Teams (2v2, 3v3, 5v5) battle to earn Arena Points. Points are awarded by team, so fighting as part of a team rather than earning individual glory is the goal. When in the Arena, you can encounter teams from your own faction as well as teams from the enemy faction.

Random PvP

Any time you encounter a player from the other faction who has their PvP flag on, you can do battle with them. In PvP realms, you PvP flag is automatically on, except when you are in certain protected areas. You can manually turn your PvP flag on and off by typing /pvp. Regardless of what you do, various situations and locations will turn your PvP flag on automatically, even if you aren’t playing in a PvP realm.

World PvP

If you visit the Eastern Plaguelands, Silithus, Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, or Nagrand, you will find goals that require PvP combat. If you want to achieve those goals, you had better be ready to fight.

PvP Zones

Wintergrasp is the first of a new type of zone that is totally dedicated to PvP combat. Expect more in the future.

Where Can You Get More Information?

You should now have a basic understanding of the different settings where you can find PvP combat. But there’s so much more to learn if you really want to dominate PvP combat, or even hold your own against more experienced players. To learn everything you need to know, including the newest strategies & tactics that will show you how to dominate all aspects of PvP, visit PvP-Bible.info

Using a Warlock PvP Guide to Dominate PvP Combat

March 24, 2009 · Filed Under Tech News · Comment

Playing a Warlock class character in World of Warcraft PvP makes you a powerhouse, especially Arena play. Warlocks are downright nasty to fight against. With their ability to literally curse other classes to death, Warlocks are often feared, even hated, in Player versus Player combat. But they’re not indestructible, and are vulnerable to any class of opponent, provided that opponent knows how to counteract the Warlock’s abilities.

A Warlock in PvP is actually a simple class to play. The basic strategy is to hit an opposing character with tons of DoT (Damage Over Time) spells, then cast Fear on them repeatedly. Do this enough times and the opponent dies.

Warlocks also can drain mana from other characters and can regenerate their own health. On top of that, they can be optimized to be extremely dangerous against casters due to their Felhunter, a pet seemingly designed to slaughter mages. To sum it all up, if you know what you are doing, your Warlock can defeat any other character class.

That said, if you don’t know what you’re doing, your Warlock is going to be dying fast and often in PvP. Warlocks can’t attack or defend themselves without magic, so they are at the mercy of any character that is able to drain their mana, remove their curses, or resist their fears. Knowing how to deal with such pesky foes is a key to victory as a Warlock. This is where a quality Warlock PvP Guide will transform your game.

So while Warlocks are incredibly powerful, without the right strategy and tactics, it is almost impossible for a Warlock to defeat certain opponents. A well-written PvP Guide helps you to acquire those strategies and tactics, based on the hard-earned experience of other Warlocks who’ve been there before. Without such a Guide, you’re doomed to many hours of experimentation and endless deaths while you try to figure out what you need to know yourself.

For a more concrete example,, let’s talk about Priests. Priests can drain a Warlock’s mana. And as we’ve already discussed, without mana to cast spells, a Warlock is doomed. To make things worse, Priests can dispel your curses. So taking down a Priest can be difficult for a Warlock. But there are ways that a Warlock can counter a Priest. You can work them out for yourself, or you can find them in the pages of a good Warlock PvP Guide.

The top Guides contain predefined strategies for battling all possible opponents. With these strategies in place, you have a solid base for adaptation and improvisation in the heat of battle.

This is why getting yourself the best Warlock PvP Guide is so important. In a quality Guide, you’ll learn what and when to cast against each class, how they are likely to attack you, and how to respond to their attacks. You’ll know how to take on each class in solo duels, and what to do as part of a 2v2, 3v3, or 5v5 team.

Because a quality PvP Guide incorporates the hard-earned combat experience of veteran Warlocks, it will contain strategies and tactics that are not obvious to newer players. In short, a good PvP Guide will save you a big block of time you would otherwise have to spend dying in battle before you become good at PvP combat.
