With the current console battle in a full blown war, we take a look at the Playstation 3 and its huge price tag. Alot of people are running around saying the PS3 does not deserve a high price, but is this true? There is no way!

The PS3 is a powerful console and although the price is huge and may be a lot bigger than its rivals, the three systems cannot, and should not really be compared. There is definatley a huge war going on between the major consoles. But for an avid gamer you will be losing out on a lot if you do not purchase yourself all three of the top consoles, which are PS3, Xbox 360 and the Wii. We will now take a look at why you need all three.

Playstation 3
The massivley successful Playstation brand is much loved, and to be an honest person the play station 3 has not let anyone down. Everyone says the games console is costly, but do you actually look at what you are getting. A hard drive, probably a console with the best rendering of graphics, top titles and not to mention the Blu-ray. A blue ray is very pricey compared to a PS3.

Xbox 360
The 1st system to launch has a huge advantage over its competitors and that is very much great progress. People who are making the games know how to manipulate the Xbox 360 to get the best from it. Let alone to mention that it has a lot more games than the other two.

Wii
The Nintendo Wii revolutionised playing consoles and games and with that came a new world of experience. Apparent a lot of the games or titles may not be serious, they are very exciting to take control of. The wii is a superb family console that everyone can enjoy.

As you can see from the above all consoles have their own advantages, but one of the main benefits is the broadness of the games. Most games only have sole rights to each console, so not obtaining all three could see you missing out on a great title. You should 100% consider purchasing the PS3.

December 30, 2008 · Filed Under Tech News · Comment

The Nintendo Wii goes with one remote controller - the Wiimote - and one Nunchuk, which is a movement sensing analogue controller that accompanies the wireless Wiimote. An extra controller, however, is needed to really allow you to play Wii Sports games more realisitically. The Wii can accommodate four controllers, so fitting a secone one into the system is a breeze.

The Wii as well as the Nintendo GameCube titles are compatible, which a really neat feature of the Wii console. If you don’t have a GameCube controller - your existing GameCube controllers well do, then one of Nintendo Wii accessories can be used as a GameCube controller. Not only will that allow you to play a wider variety of games, it will also allow you to play the classic games that are downloadable to your Wii system. You need more than just the controller to fully enjoy the games, however. You cannot save your progress into the game unless you have a GameCube memory card.  All GameCube memory card is compatible with your Wii so that you can use your old card if you have one. For those of you who don’t have the card, you need to purchase one to fully enjoy your gaming gadget.

Another advantage of the Wii virtual console system is its Web capabilities. Downloading classic Nintendo games from Web is as easy as logging in to your Nintendo account. Downloads are not free, however, and the Wii Points are the currency of choice. That’s why prepaid Wii Points cards are a sought after Nintendo Wii accessory. These cards allow you to browse and puchase your favorite classic Nintendo games on the Web hassle-free. However, if you plan to buy a lot of these standard games it’s entirely a matter of time before you fill the 512mb memory of your Wii system. My advice is to purchase a 1 gigabyte SD Wii virtual console memory card so that you’ll have all the room you need with plenty to spare!

In order to make use of the Wii’s downloading power and its other Wii system’s menu functions, you need access to the Internet. That makes the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector one of the most of import Nintendo Wii accessories. With wireless Internet access in place, you will be able to use your Wii to play games, surf the Web, and enjoy the eagerly awated face to face virtual play! This will allow the players to participate in the games realistically and we’ll start seeing the entire family, from grandson to grand dad, playing console games - a first of its kind in console gaming.

All of these Nintendo Wii accessories contribute to form an impressive array of gaming and entertainment capabilities. If you don’t have a component video adapter, however, the picture quality of the Wii might fail to reach its potential, particularly if you’ve an HDTV. Enhance your gaming experience and use your Nintendo accessories to their full potential with by using an adapter. And one more thing: invest in reliable rechargeable batteries to really keep those wireless remotes functioning on demand.
