PvP Guide For Affliction Warlock | The Best Talent Build

February 3, 2010 · Filed Under Tech News · Comment

If you have seen Affliction warlocks in PvP, their strategy may seem simple: just keep their distance from their opponent while bursting DoT spells, but believe me, it is a lot harder to do that than it may seems against and experienced player, so you’ll need a pvp guide for warlock that will give you the detailed info on talents to take.

Your Skills
Your main killing method is your DoT spell, so obviously you want to take talents that boost your spells damage, but there are other talents that you need too. Here’s the PvP Warlock talent build that focused on Affliction:

1. Improved Corruption; improve Corruption damage by 10%, it is an obvious choice when you play Affliction Warlock.

2. Suppression; increase your spells chance to hit by 3% and reduce mana cost for your Affliction spells by 6%.

3. Improved Curse of Agony; boost your Curse of Agony by 10%.

4. Improved Drain Soul; boost your Drain Soul.

5. Soul Siphon; both of your Drain Life and Drain Soul are improved.

6. Fel Concentration; make it harder for your enemy to interrupt your channeling spell.

7. Nightfall; surprise your opponent by hurling an instant Shadow Bolt at him/her.

8. Empowered Corruption; boost your Corruption spells.

9. Siphon Life; increase some DoT spells damage and heal you when you use Corruption spells.

10. Shadow Embrace; increase the power of Haunt and Shadow Bolt. At the same time also reduce all periodic healing such as Priest’s Renew.

11. Shadow Mastery; power up your Shadow spells by 15%.

12. Eradication; when dealing damage with Corruption spells, there is 6% chance to increase your spell casting speed by 20% for 10 seconds.

13. Contagion; increase the damage of your Corruption spell and at the same time make it harder to be dispelled.

14. Malediction; boost your spell by 3%. It also increases your periodic critical strike chance of your Corruption and Unstable Affliction by 9%.

15. Death Embrace; increase your Drain Life by 30% when your health is below 20%. If your health is below 20% in 5v5 you will be dead in seconds, so it is not that useful in team PvP, but it has some effect in 1v1 battle. The other effect is increasing your Shadow spells damage by 12% when your target’s health is below 35%; this is very useful to finish the battle quickly.

16. Unstable Affliction; 1150 Shadow damage 15 second with 2070 damage and silence effect as “bonuses” for whoever dare to dispel it.

17. Everlasting Affliction; your Haunt and Drain Life spell can reset the duration of Corruption spell on the target.

18. Haunt; deal 654-673 Shadow damage and increase all DoT on the target. When it dispelled or ends the soul return and heals you for 100% of the damage.

You may have read other pvp guide for warlock that recommend to spend the points that left in Demonology to make you harder to kill, but for this warlock talent build, I’ll pour some points in Improved Shadow Bolt. It is useful for your Nightfall talent and as a reserve spell in case your curses are not work well on your opponent.

The Affliction build also applied in PvE, you’ll just have to adjust some talents, read the PvE buld at world of warcraft warlock guide for Affliction warlock.

Your Enemy
On some occasions, you may get away with only the basic tactic: running around while casting DoT spells and Fear, but what if your enemy can counter those skills? These are some skills that dangerous for you:

1. Drain your mana; you are fully depending on your mana for combat. A warlock with no mana is no threat at all.
Solution: You can replenish your mana by using Life Tap, but you should act based on your current condition and surrounding.

2. Remove your curses; having Shadow Bolt or other direct damage skills as a reserve can help you in this situation; otherwise, you have to play strategically with strict mana management.
Solution: make it more difficult for your opponent to dispell your spells by having Contagion and Unstable Affliction.

3. Resist to Fear; there are no real solution for this one. You still have chance to win, but it will be more difficult to creating distance since your opponent can chase you with their full speed.

The solutions above are only making it harder for your opponent, but it will not make you win the battle. To increase the odd of winning, you must study the strength and weakness of each class, your own included. A good counter strategy can be developed based on those data.

I’m not recommend you to do the research on your own since it will takes a lot of time and effort, I suggest that you read ultimate wow guide review to get the best solution to this problem. Not only it cover detailed pvp strategies for warlock, if you want it can also teach  you to level and fund your warlock.

World of Warcraft: The Blood Elves

One of the most well-liked computer games of all time is World of Warcraft.  Many incarnations of the game have come and gone over the years. One of the hottest MMOPRG is called World of Warcraft (WOW).  In this massive multi-player game, players are assigned the task of building and developing a character of a specific race to pit against the evil minions of the world.

An expansion game for WOW is called Burning Crusade. Within it players can choose from a variety of races including the Blood Elves. With the Burning Crusade Blood Elves, players are taking control of a long standing, proud army of stoic warriors.

The Blood Elves’ history is steeped in slaughter and bloodshed, hence their name. Born of the High Elf kingdom, these noble creatures were once a powerful part of the now lost land of Sunwell. When the mad Prince Arthas invaded their land and resurrected the Lich Kel-Thuzad, he decimated their people, nearly destroying the entire race.

But not all were killed. The survivors were seasoned by this disturbing incident and thus came to be a darker version of their previous selves. Learning from one of the last remaining of the royal bloodline named Kael, they began descending into an even darker escapade of their history. They began tapping into the mystic energy of demonic origin and are now shunned by most of their kin.

Much before this changing of their nature, the high elves were considered outcasts from the Alliance and left their original homeland in search of something else. Thus started the home in Sunwell.

The Blood Elves were determined to create an existence for themselves, a new start.

Their power and influence grew as they settled into their new home, drawing much power from the Sunwell’s mystical energies. They fed on this power, using it to develop their powers to defend themselves from many of the harsh inhabitants of the world around them.

But this hardship strengthened those that survived, making them the powerful Burning Crusade Blood Elves they are today. This is an army worthwhile of undertaking while participating in the game of Warcraft. It is a proud days of ancient and one that should be regard of accompanied by esteem and truthfulness.

WoW Blood Elves are a race that requires a bit more finesse than the hard changing orcs for example or the slowing but relentless undead. Use their powerful magic to your advantage. Whatever party you join in this huge sprawling multi-player world will benefit from your skills.

There are many classes available to Blood Elf players. Choose one that fits your style of play as you will spend many hours in this WOW: Burning Crusade.

MMORPGs are a fairly new genre in gaming and I see a bright future for Blizzard’s World of Warcraft and other online games in the future.

Basic Guide to World Of Warcraft

May 8, 2009 · Filed Under Tech News · Comment

What is WoW?

World of Warcraft or WoW as it known, is a “Massively Multi player On-line Role-Playing Game” or MMORPG. This means thousands (sometimes tens of thousands) of players,  from all around the World exist in the same on-line game world at the same time. They abandon the real world to undertake heroic quests in a land of fantastic adventures..

In the game there are two opposing factions at war with each other: the Alliance and the Horde. After deciding what side to play, each character will choose one of several classes: Shaman, Warlock, Warrior, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest and Rogue. Each class has its own unique set of talents and abilities. You can, depending on the class of character that you have, choose to build your character’s talent trees for damage-per-second (DPS), tanking, healing or a combination of these.

There are ten playable races: Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Night Elves, Draenei, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead and Blood Elves and many professions your character can play: Alchemy, Black smithing, Cooking, Enchanting, Engineering, First Aid Fishing, Herbalism, Leatherworking, Mining, Skinning, Tailoring, Jewelcrafting, and Inscription. (Note: Within the Rogue class there are two unique secondary professions: Lock Picking and Poisons).

There are thousands of quests to undertake with multiple kinds of transportation. In addition, there are four realm types which will be the very first decision you will have to make before playing World of Warcraft. Your reward is money and reputation which will increase your skill and power. A good place to start is to find a decent WoW Levelling Guide to help you through this mystical world.

Within the game itself there are two “modes” of character:

  • Player Characters (which are controlled by real people)
  • Non-Player Characters (which are controlled by the games’ software)

So you can find yourself playing a “real” person as well as the games created opponent.
Your character can earn copper, silver or gold to fund your adventures. In addition you will need to work on the different skills for your character.

There are many guides on the market and all do pretty much what they say they do but some have the additional feature of forums and members areas to help you level your character from 1-70. Many also have detailed gold guides and the latest up to date information on, for example, Wrath of the Lich King which takes you up to level 80! However, with that said, players are more than free to progress at their own pace and pit their skills against multiple on-line opponents. But if you would like a WoW Levelling Guide or more information on where to find WoW resource’s just click the link.

World of Warcraft is Blizzard Entertainment’s 4th game in the Warcraft series and is now played by over 10 million people world wide! It starts 4 years after the setting of Warcraft III in the world of Azeroth.

The Horde and Alliance are opposing factions locked in a battle for control of the land - and neither side is backing down. Alliance and Horde players can battle each other, but they cannot interact, trade or even talk to each other. So if you have friends you would like to play with, make sure you belong to the same factions!

A good place to start your World of Warcraft quest is to get a World of Warcraft Leveling Guide. Follow the link to read up on the best World of Warcraft strategy guides available.

Not Sure Which Class To Level Next In WoW? Read This

April 5, 2009 · Filed Under Tech News · Comment

If you’re thinking about leveling a DPS class in World of Warcraft, then this article will give you some useful tips and advice to help you decide which one to level. In particular, we are going to talk about the rogue class, the druid class, and the hunter class. By the time you’ve finished reading this guide, you’ll have a better idea of how to level these classes.

Let’s kick off with a few rogue leveling tips and strategies. First, you need to make sure you have the optimal spec for leveling. Most people agree the best spec is combat. This will increase your damage considerably, plus talents such as Blade Furry give you the power to attack mutliple enemies with a single attack, which can really speed things up.

Another tip is to follow a rogue leveling guide. This will show you the best routes to follow, and ensure you’re not wasting your time with low-xp quests. A last tip for leveling your rogue is to not go everywhere in stealth. While leveling, you’ll find it much quicker if you play like a warrior and just mobs pulls with a ranged weapon.

Now let’s talk about druids. The druid class has many options while leveling, but the majority of players will tell you to spec feral. This particular spec is the best one to level with, because it has virtually no “down time”, and it’s very efficient at killing mobs with speed. You should also follow a druid leveling guide to show you the quickest leveling route for a druid to follow.

Also remember to get the “mangle” talent as soon as possible, because your damage will almost double. This ultimately mans you are going to be dispatching enemies far quicker, and this means you’ll get your level faster.

Finally, let’s talk about hunters. One of the best specs to level your hunter with is beastmastery. This spec is excellent, because your pet can “tank” for you and produce most of your damage output, which lets you attack from range with a bow or gun. Remember to follow a hunter leveling guide to level quickly. The best leveling guides also have in-game addons, which an show you exactly what to do and where to go for each quest.

A quick final tip for leveling your hunter, is that you’ll need a constant supply of arrows (or bullets) and food to keep your pet happy. If you don’t do this, you’re going to have to reguarly visit an outpost or city to stock up on these things, which means your leveling progress will slow down.

To summarize, this guide has shown you some valuable tips and advice on leveling either a hunter, a rogue or a druid.
