Mounts in World of Warcraft are essential to master the game. They are especially important if you want to shoot up levels with your character as rapidly as possible. Your mount is actually the most essential tool for fast leveling at your disposal.

These are called rare drop mounts – truly the holy grail in World of Warcraft. You can easily play World of Warcraft for years and never even see one of these rare drop mounts. Here are the best ones and how you can acquire one:

The best mount in WoW in many people’s opinions is the Ashes of Al’ar – which falls from KaelThas in the Tempest Keep only 1 time in 100. This is an actual Phoenix which you can fly. Another cool one is the Swift Zulian Tiger, which the High Priest Thekal in Zul’Gurub will drop just 0.06 percent of the time! this is one of th ecoolest mounts in the game – a vast, deadly and very fast tiger that looks like He Man’s tiger.

The next one fals from Bloodlord Mandokir only one time in 70 or 80 – the Swift Razzashi Raptor. It’s a cool, super-fast raptor. If you want to find the best hawkstrider in WoW, kill Kael’Thas in the Heroic Magister’s Terrace, who will drop the Swift Hawkstrider 2% of the time.

Finally, not strictly a drop mount as in dropped from a foe, but I’ll include it non the less: the Amani War Bear (an awesome bear mount) drops from the 4th chest in Zul’Amen every time.
