What is WoW?
World of Warcraft or WoW as it known, is a “Massively Multi player On-line Role-Playing Game” or MMORPG. This means thousands (sometimes tens of thousands) of players, from all around the World exist in the same on-line game world at the same time. They abandon the real world to undertake heroic quests in a land of fantastic adventures..
In the game there are two opposing factions at war with each other: the Alliance and the Horde. After deciding what side to play, each character will choose one of several classes: Shaman, Warlock, Warrior, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest and Rogue. Each class has its own unique set of talents and abilities. You can, depending on the class of character that you have, choose to build your character’s talent trees for damage-per-second (DPS), tanking, healing or a combination of these.
There are ten playable races: Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Night Elves, Draenei, Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Undead and Blood Elves and many professions your character can play: Alchemy, Black smithing, Cooking, Enchanting, Engineering, First Aid Fishing, Herbalism, Leatherworking, Mining, Skinning, Tailoring, Jewelcrafting, and Inscription. (Note: Within the Rogue class there are two unique secondary professions: Lock Picking and Poisons).
There are thousands of quests to undertake with multiple kinds of transportation. In addition, there are four realm types which will be the very first decision you will have to make before playing World of Warcraft. Your reward is money and reputation which will increase your skill and power. A good place to start is to find a decent WoW Levelling Guide to help you through this mystical world.
Within the game itself there are two “modes” of character:
- Player Characters (which are controlled by real people)
- Non-Player Characters (which are controlled by the games’ software)
So you can find yourself playing a “real” person as well as the games created opponent.
Your character can earn copper, silver or gold to fund your adventures. In addition you will need to work on the different skills for your character.
There are many guides on the market and all do pretty much what they say they do but some have the additional feature of forums and members areas to help you level your character from 1-70. Many also have detailed gold guides and the latest up to date information on, for example, Wrath of the Lich King which takes you up to level 80! However, with that said, players are more than free to progress at their own pace and pit their skills against multiple on-line opponents. But if you would like a WoW Levelling Guide or more information on where to find WoW resource’s just click the link.
World of Warcraft is Blizzard Entertainment’s 4th game in the Warcraft series and is now played by over 10 million people world wide! It starts 4 years after the setting of Warcraft III in the world of Azeroth.
The Horde and Alliance are opposing factions locked in a battle for control of the land - and neither side is backing down. Alliance and Horde players can battle each other, but they cannot interact, trade or even talk to each other. So if you have friends you would like to play with, make sure you belong to the same factions!

If you’re thinking about leveling a DPS class in World of Warcraft, then this article will give you some useful tips and advice to help you decide which one to level. In particular, we are going to talk about the rogue class, the druid class, and the hunter class. By the time you’ve finished reading this guide, you’ll have a better idea of how to level these classes.
Let’s kick off with a few rogue leveling tips and strategies. First, you need to make sure you have the optimal spec for leveling. Most people agree the best spec is combat. This will increase your damage considerably, plus talents such as Blade Furry give you the power to attack mutliple enemies with a single attack, which can really speed things up.
Another tip is to follow a rogue leveling guide. This will show you the best routes to follow, and ensure you’re not wasting your time with low-xp quests. A last tip for leveling your rogue is to not go everywhere in stealth. While leveling, you’ll find it much quicker if you play like a warrior and just mobs pulls with a ranged weapon.
Now let’s talk about druids. The druid class has many options while leveling, but the majority of players will tell you to spec feral. This particular spec is the best one to level with, because it has virtually no “down time”, and it’s very efficient at killing mobs with speed. You should also follow a druid leveling guide to show you the quickest leveling route for a druid to follow.
Also remember to get the “mangle” talent as soon as possible, because your damage will almost double. This ultimately mans you are going to be dispatching enemies far quicker, and this means you’ll get your level faster.
Finally, let’s talk about hunters. One of the best specs to level your hunter with is beastmastery. This spec is excellent, because your pet can “tank” for you and produce most of your damage output, which lets you attack from range with a bow or gun. Remember to follow a hunter leveling guide to level quickly. The best leveling guides also have in-game addons, which an show you exactly what to do and where to go for each quest.
A quick final tip for leveling your hunter, is that you’ll need a constant supply of arrows (or bullets) and food to keep your pet happy. If you don’t do this, you’re going to have to reguarly visit an outpost or city to stock up on these things, which means your leveling progress will slow down.
To summarize, this guide has shown you some valuable tips and advice on leveling either a hunter, a rogue or a druid.

You can get into PvP combat in various different settings. Knowing something about the different settings will help you find or avoid combat as you wish, and help you understand what others mean when they talk about battlegrounds or World PvP or whatever. Here’s your introduction to each setting:
Fighting Duels
Duels are one-on-one battles. You can duel pretty much anywhere you want, except within cities. You’ll often find players who are looking for a duel hanging around outside the entrances to major cities looking for someone to challenge.
Battlegrounds
The battlegrounds are areas where Horde and Alliance compete to earn marks. You can use marks sort of like money, and trade them in for various items, including better PvP gear. You can only use marks at the special PvP vendor shops.
The Arenas
Arena combat is an organized, ongoing tournament. Teams (2v2, 3v3, 5v5) battle to earn Arena Points. Points are awarded by team, so fighting as part of a team rather than earning individual glory is the goal. When in the Arena, you can encounter teams from your own faction as well as teams from the enemy faction.
Random PvP
Any time you encounter a player from the other faction who has their PvP flag on, you can do battle with them. In PvP realms, you PvP flag is automatically on, except when you are in certain protected areas. You can manually turn your PvP flag on and off by typing /pvp. Regardless of what you do, various situations and locations will turn your PvP flag on automatically, even if you aren’t playing in a PvP realm.
World PvP
If you visit the Eastern Plaguelands, Silithus, Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, or Nagrand, you will find goals that require PvP combat. If you want to achieve those goals, you had better be ready to fight.
PvP Zones
Wintergrasp is the first of a new type of zone that is totally dedicated to PvP combat. Expect more in the future.
Where Can You Get More Information?

Specifically, we’re going to talk about some of the common problems people have when leveling a warrior, some tips for leveling faster, and why you should follow a wow warrior leveling guide. When you have finished reading this article, you’re going to know exactly how you can speed level your warrior.
First, let’s talk about some of the problems you may have if you level a warrior. One of the best warrior specs for instances is Protection. In fact, your friends in game will probably love to have you as this spec, because it’s never easy to find tanks for instances. But you’ll find it much harder to solo level as this spec, because it takes so long to kill something without help.
Of course you can try to get all of your levels by doing instance runs with your buddies, but it’s going to take awhile to see any progress. Luckily, the new dual spec which is coming in the next patch is going to make it far easier for a warrior to level, because you can still keep your Protection spec, and have the option to switching to Fury for leveling and farming.
Now let’s cover some tips for leveling your warrior quicker. The best technique is to “aggro” two enemies in one go. A warrior has enough armor to withstand the damage, and with 2 mobs hitting you, you’ll have plenty of rage to unleash your most powerful damage dealing moves.
Try not to use up all your rage on just one mob. It’s much faster to keep some rage back for the next mob you’ll be attacking. Also, you should use the “Fury” talent spec, because this will allow you to cause the most damage in the shortest time possible.
Finally, you should follow a warrior leveling guide if you really want to level a warrior fast. You don’t need to spend hours trying to “grind” your way to the next level. If you follow a leveling guide made by a professional gamer, you’ll find the process much quicker and more enjoyable. If you’re horde, Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide is an excellent purchase. It’s fully “in-game” which means no Alt+Tabbing, and it’s the fastest way to level any horde character.
